Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) Meeting Held In Aizawl

The Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC), comprising various Central Government media units and selected State Government departments in Mizoram, convened a meeting today at the Conference Hall of All India Radio (AIR), Tuikhuahtlang, Aizawl.

The meeting deliberated on strengthening coordination and collaboration among the Press Information Bureau (PIB), All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), and other media organizations in the State. Discussions focused on enhancing public awareness of various Central Government schemes to ensure that intended beneficiaries receive timely and accurate information. Participants also explored ways to effectively disseminate information on ongoing government projects and their achievements so that the public can gain a broader understanding of developmental initiatives being undertaken.

Recognizing the growing importance of digital communication in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape, the meeting emphasized the need to expand outreach efforts beyond traditional print media by leveraging social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X. Deliberations also highlighted the importance of adopting prompt and effective measures to counter misinformation and ensure that accurate information reaches the public.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Nampibou Marinmai, Director, Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Aizawl. Smt. Pavni Gupta, Joint Director, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Guwahati, attended the meeting along with representatives from various Central and State Government departments.
