New MZP leadership takes charge, sets focus on student empowerment
Speaking at a handover ceremony held at the MZP Conference Hall. Dr. C. Lalremruata, the new MZP President, outlined the student body’s objectives for the 2025–2026 term.He highlighted that while Mizoram has achieved the top rank in national literacy over the past 15 years, no individual has yet cleared central civil service exams. He stressed that literacy alone is not enough and that MZP will now focus on nurturing students capable of achieving ata national level.
Dr. Lalremruata announced plans to develop a student aid fund and, for the first time in the state, to collaborate with placement agencies for graduate employment. He also emphasized promoting student self-reliance and expanding access to scholarships at state, national, and international levels.
Vice President Sanghmingthanga, General Secretary C. Lalhmingsanga, Assistant Secretary Lalentlinga, Treasurer Rothanliana, and Financial Secretary Nangsawmthanga also formally took charge, following their election at the 65th MZP Assembly on 3rd September.
