GOVERNMENT OF MIZORAM APPROVES WORKING PERMISSION FOR CRITICAL ROAD PROJECTS IN CHAMPHAI BY BORDER ROADS ORGANIZATION
The Government of Mizoram has announced the formal approval for Working Permission to the Border Roads Organization (BRO) for essential road projects within Champhai District. This decision enables the immediate commencement of works for the “Construction of Old Hruaikawn to Zokhawthar Road (Length – 6.74 Km)” and “Tualcheng to Pamchung Road (Length – 8.20 Km)”.
This approval has been granted to facilitate the early start of works coinciding with the onset of the working season in the State, addressing critical infrastructure needs.Protracted efforts by Shri Lalduhoma, The Chief Minister of Mizoram and Shri Rajeev Dua, Chief Engineer, Project Pushpak, BRO; Shri B. Lalchhanzova, Minister of State for Land Revenue and Settlement; Shri H. Ginzalala, MLA Champhai North (ST); Shri Khilli Ram Meena, IAS, Chief Secretary of Mizoram; Shri Vanlalmawia, Secretary, Land Revenue and Settlement Department and Shri Mohammad Aaquib, DC, Champhai, as well as the cooperation of villagers, have paved the way for this historic movement.
This is the first time that working permission has been granted to BRO by the State of Mizoram, validating its commitment towards prosperity and welfare of State.
